In addition, if your information is used for direct marketing based on demographic grouping ("commercial offer outreach"), you may request in writing that such information be deleted from the organization’s database.
Information necessary for business operations—such as transaction records—will continue to be stored but will no longer be used for marketing.
If you do not receive confirmation of deletion within 30 days, you may appeal to the Magistrates’ Court.
